1. Purpose
These Enrolment Terms and Conditions govern participation in the courses, activities and services
offered by Espanjan Nurkka.
By enrolling, the student declares that they have read, understood and accepted these terms and
conditions.
Espanjan Nurkka is a registered auxiliary business name of LM Digital Projects Oy.

2. Who can enrol?
Espanjan Nurkka courses are generally intended for persons over 18 years of age.
If courses specifically for minors are organised in the future, they will be subject to their own
enrolment terms and to authorisation by their legal representatives.
3. Enrolment and reservation of a place
Enrolment takes place through the form available on the website.
Enrolment will be confirmed once:
the teacher has confirmed availability;
the student has received confirmation of enrolment.
If a group is full, the student may request to be added to the waiting list.
If the student is unsure which group is most suitable for their level, they may request a placement test
during the enrolment process.
4. Organisation of courses
Courses generally run from mid-September to mid-June.
The exact dates of each academic year will be published on the website.
Holidays are, above all, a time to rest and enjoy time with family and friends. For this reason, no classes
will be held during the school holidays and public holidays listed below.
These breaks are already taken into account when calculating the total price of the course. Therefore,
the monthly fee remains the same throughout the course, regardless of the number of classes falling
within each month.
During the 2026-2027 academic year, no classes will be held during the following periods:
Autumn break: 12-18 October 2026 (week 42)
Christmas break: 23 December 2026-6 January 2027
Winter break: 8-14 March 2027 (week 10)
Other public holidays: 7 May 2027
Each group session lasts 90 minutes.
Groups consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 students.
Each individual session lasts 60 minutes and is held online.
If the minimum number of students is not reached or there are justified organisational reasons,
Espanjan Nurkka may modify schedules, start dates or the composition of groups. Whenever possible,
these changes will be communicated sufficiently in advance.
If there is sufficient demand, intensive courses may be organised during the summer.
5. Joining after the course has started
Provided that places are available, it is possible to join a group after the course has started.
In that case, the student will receive a personalised study plan to work on previously covered content
and gradually integrate into the group.
6. Prices and payment methods
The current prices will always be those published on the Espanjan Nurkka website.
Students enrolled in group courses may choose between:
monthly payment;
quarterly payment.
Invoices will be sent by email.
Payment must be made by bank transfer within the payment period stated on the invoice.
Payment is due:
Monthly payment: During the first week of the month.
Quarterly payment: During the first week of the first month of the relevant quarter.
Students who wish to do so may request to receive their invoices as e-invoices.
For individual classes, the student must pay the invoice for the single class or package purchased
before the first class begins and within the payment period stated on the invoice.
7. Non-payment
In the event of non-payment, Espanjan Nurkka will act in accordance with current Finnish legislation.
While the amount remains outstanding, the school may temporarily suspend the student's participation
in classes.
If non-payment persists, Espanjan Nurkka may cancel the enrolment and recover the outstanding
amounts through the legally established means.
8. Student absences
Absence from a class does not entitle the student to a refund for that class.
All materials used during the session will be available on the digital platform.
The teacher will provide support with questions related to the content covered during the class.
For individual classes, any cancellation or change of date must be communicated at least 24 hours
before the start of the session. If at least 24 hours' notice is given, the class may be cancelled or
rescheduled at no additional cost, subject to availability.
If the class is cancelled less than 24 hours before its scheduled start time or the student does not
attend, the session will be considered used and will be charged in full. Exceptional situations, such as
sudden illness or an emergency, may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If the student arrives late for an individual class, the session will end at the originally scheduled time
and the lost time will not be made up.
9. Cancellation of classes by Espanjan Nurkka
If a group class has to be cancelled due to illness or another circumstance that prevents the class from
being held or a substitute teacher from being found, Espanjan Nurkka will try to offer a make-up
session.
If this is not possible, the teacher will provide students with an explanatory recording together with the
corresponding materials so that no student misses the planned content.
If an individual class is cancelled by Espanjan Nurkka, a new date will be offered. If rescheduling is not
possible, the session will not be considered used and, where applicable, its price will be refunded or the
session will be returned to the corresponding package.
10. Force majeure
Espanjan Nurkka will not be responsible for a temporary inability to provide its services when this is
due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as serious illness, accidents, prolonged
interruptions to supplies or services, decisions by the authorities or other force majeure situations.
In such cases, the school will try to offer an alternative solution whenever possible.
11. Individual classes
Individual classes may be purchased as a standalone service or as a complement to group classes in
order to work on specific goals or needs.
Individual sessions last 60 minutes and are held online.
Individual classes may be purchased as single sessions or as packages. Packages are personal and non-
transferable and are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
Classes may be arranged according to a fixed schedule or booked flexibly through the availability
calendar. All bookings are subject to availability.
Individual classes will not be scheduled during the holiday periods specified in section 4.
The current prices and available package options will be those published on the website.
Students taking individual classes will have access to the digital platform and may participate in
Espanjan Nurkka's community activities and events under the same conditions as other students.
12. Materials and digital platform
All materials used in the classes and access to the digital platform are included in the price of the
service purchased.
Access to the platform is personal and non-transferable.
All materials created by Espanjan Nurkka are the intellectual property of the school and are provided
exclusively for the personal use of enrolled students.
Their reproduction, distribution, publication, sale or use for purposes other than personal learning is
not permitted without the express authorisation of Espanjan Nurkka.
13. Events and activities
Events organised by Espanjan Nurkka are intended to encourage the practice of Spanish and the
creation of a community.
Participation in these activities is always voluntary.
Participants must respect the rules of the venue where the activities take place, as well as the
instructions of the organisers.
Each participant is responsible for their own behaviour during events.
Espanjan Nurkka will be liable only in cases where liability exists under the applicable legislation.
14. Code of conduct
Espanjan Nurkka aims to provide a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for everyone.
Students are expected to behave respectfully towards the teacher, other students and anyone
participating in activities organised by the school.
Offensive, discriminatory or intimidating behaviour, or behaviour that seriously disrupts classes or
events, will not be tolerated.
In serious or repeated situations, Espanjan Nurkka may cancel the student's enrolment.
15. Voluntary withdrawal and refunds
The student may withdraw at any time by notifying the teacher by email.
For group courses, notice must be given at least 7 days before the next scheduled session.
If the student has already paid the relevant monthly or quarterly fee, Espanjan Nurkka will refund the
proportional amount corresponding to any full unused weeks.
For individual classes purchased as a package, the student may request a proportional refund for any
unused sessions. Classes that have already been booked will remain subject to the cancellation policy
set out in section 8.
16. Right of withdrawal in distance contracts
When the contract is concluded by means of distance communication, such as the website, email or
another procedure in which the parties are not simultaneously present, the consumer will, where
provided by the applicable legislation, have the legal right to withdraw from the contract within 14
days of its conclusion.
Exercising the right of withdrawal does not require the consumer to provide any reason.
Withdrawal must be communicated to Espanjan Nurkka by means of an unequivocal statement within
the legal time limit. When the contract is concluded through the website, Espanjan Nurkka will provide
the means legally required to exercise this right.
17. Starting classes during the withdrawal period
If the student expressly requests that the educational service begin before the withdrawal period has
ended, classes may begin during that period.
If the student subsequently exercises their right of withdrawal while the service is already in progress,
Espanjan Nurkka may, where legally applicable, require payment of the proportionate amount for the
service actually provided up to the time when withdrawal is communicated.
If the service has been fully performed during the withdrawal period at the consumer's express request
and the relevant legal requirements have been met, the right of withdrawal may expire in accordance
with the applicable legislation.
Nothing in these terms and conditions will limit the rights of withdrawal granted to consumers under
Finnish legislation.
18. Photographs and videos
Photographs or video recordings may be taken during some activities or events.
Their use will be subject to the participant's prior consent, which may be granted, refused or withdrawn
at any time in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
19. Data protection
Personal data will be processed in accordance with Espanjan Nurkka's Privacy Policy and the applicable
data protection legislation.
20. Changes to the terms and conditions
Espanjan Nurkka may modify these terms and conditions when necessary for legal, organisational or
operational reasons.
Changes will not affect rights already acquired by enrolled students unless required by the applicable
legislation.
21. Applicable law
These terms and conditions are governed by the legislation in force in Finland, including the Consumer
Protection Act (38/1978), the Contracts Act (228/1929), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data
Protection Regulation - GDPR) and the Finnish Data Protection Act (1050/2018).
Any dispute will be resolved in accordance with Finnish legislation and before the competent
authorities in Finland.
